Q: Where can I purchase prints of your photos?
A: Prints of my landscape photos are available for purchase here. You may also purchase prints of photos from your session through your online gallery.

Q: What other services do you offer?
A: In addition to being a photographer, I'm a graphic designer and videographer. I offer a large variety of design services (personal branding, stationary, invitations, logo design, publications, flyers, etc.) as well as event, wedding, and promotional videography. Take a look at my galleries to see some examples.
Q: Do you offer albums/prints in any of your packages?
A: Yes! This may be purchased individually or are included in many of my packages—ask me for a copy of my pricing list for more details.
Q: How long will it take to receive my photos?
A: For the majority of my sessions, expect 4-6 weeks to receive proofs. Weddings will take longer since they are more extensive, so images are usually available in 6-8 weeks.
Q: Do we receive all of the images from our wedding?
A: I can promise you that you absolutely do not want every image taken at your wedding! I can easily take anywhere from 2,000-5,000 images per wedding. A lot of these are test shots, people may have their eyes closed, unintentional (or intentional) photobombs, out of focus, etc. One of the most important parts of my job is to look through every image and select the best photos that represent your day to the fullest. Depending on the collection you choose, couples will receive at the very minimum 100 final high resolution images from their wedding day.
Q: How long will you be shooting at my wedding?
A: It depends on the collection you choose, but I can be there for however long you will need me to be! The average full-day wedding is about 6-8 hours, but I’ve shot for weddings from as little as 3 hours to a full-day.
Q: How long have you been a photographer?
A: 9 years professionally.
Q: Do you use flash for any of your photography?
A: Yes! Flash and off-camera lighting is a fun way to get creative with images. My personal style is to use natural light as much as possible, but in some situations (like wedding receptions with less light) flash is necessary to capture the scene and the people in it. I also use flash to occasionally to add special effects or moods to images.
Q: What happens if my wedding gets canceled or I need to change the date after I’ve booked?
A: The retainer to hold your wedding date is non-refundable. If you do decide you need to change your date, I will give you a list of dates that I have available for you to choose from and we can go from there!
Q: Can you hold my wedding date without a retainer?
A: No. If you inquire about a date but haven't paid a deposit yet, you will receive priority if another couple is to inquire about that same date. If within 5 days you haven't made a deposit, then the date will then be offered to other inquiries.
Q: How far do you travel for weddings?
A: As far as you will need me to! For weddings or events that are over 30 miles away from my central location in Blacksburg, VA, travel fees do apply. Feel free to contact me for more details.
Q: How will I receive my photos?
A: Final images and proofs are provided to you with a link to your own online gallery. Check out some examples here. It’s easy to use and navigate through, and will allow to you to choose your favorite final images, share with family and friends, order prints, and select images for albums.
Q: Does it cost extra to have the images retouched?
A: Yes, for professional retouching that goes beyond the standard fixes an additional fee will be applied if the client deems necessary.
Q: Will my images be posted online (Facebook, Instagram, etc.)?
A: If you have approved me to do so through your contract and an image release form, then there is a good chance I will share on either Facebook or Instagram! This is a great and easy way for you to show off your new photos.
Q: Is an engagement session included in any of your wedding packages?
A: Yes! Engagement sessions are encouraged because this lets me get to know you both better, and gives you an idea of my shooting style and process.
Q: If I don’t want something in a package, can you remove it from the package?
A: I typically don’t recommend this because you definitely get more value for your money through packages, but yes. I'm always open to creating a custom quotes to best meet my clients’ needs.
Q: What forms of payment do you accept?
A: Personal checks and credit cards.
Q: How far in advance do I need to book my session?
A: For weddings I recommend at least 6 months to a year in advance! All other portrait sessions, at least 2-3 months is recommended.
Q: Can we meet before I book?
A: Of course; I would prefer to! This is how we get to know each other. So feel free to contact me if you’re local, and we’ll meet over coffee sometime!
Q: What will you do if something happens to my photos?
A: This is every photographer's worst nightmare. I personally use a camera with two SD card slots to prevent losing images if a card fails, and my photos are always backed up shortly after every session. I can assure you I always take every precaution to avoid losing my photos, so the likelihood of that happening is very slim. However, in the event that something were to happen, a refund would be issued.
